Victoria’s own battery-specific rebate and interest-free loan closed to new applications in 2025, so the main incentive available today is the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program. It discounts the first 5-14kWh of usable battery capacity, with the rate stepping down for larger capacity beyond that, so a typical 10-16kWh household battery currently attracts somewhere in the order of $2,700-$3,500 off, applied directly by your installer at quote stage rather than claimed separately. Because rates are reviewed periodically, we confirm current eligibility and amounts before finalising every quote.
